A major part of your role as a Brand Ambassador is to help PK (Product Knowledge) associates. Your goal is to PK 80 people a month, that equals 4 PK’s a day. You will receive $100 bonus every month for hitting your PK quota!
Your PK’s will have a small script you will follow, but the goal is to also craft the PK to sound natural, exciting, fun, interactive, and most importantly memorable!
You will also be provided with PK cards and promo giveaways like Re-Bath rubber ducks or candy. The PK card is a physical card that they can keep in their apron/vest that goes over The Re-Bath 6 Services, some reminders of what we don’t do, and how our process works.

Why do we need to PK associates?
Each store has an average of 80–100 employees, and turnover is typically quite high. On top of that, stores can see more than 2,000 customers per day — or roughly 65,000 customers per month per location. That represents a huge number of potential Re-Bath customers!
The challenge is there are more than 30 services offered in-store, and it can be a lot to remember for an associate. If the associates doesn’t feel confident enough about Re-Bath knowledge to start a conversation with a customer, then we end up missing leads.
If we want to improve both lead quantity and lead quality in stores, it’s up to us to help associates learn the basics about Re-Bath — what services we offer, what we do not offer, and most importantly, how to submit a lead through their in-store service systems.
That’s why PKs are so important. They help stores reach their lead and sales goals across home services, and for us specifically, in bathroom remodeling.
Just imagine if every associate in every store had a few PKs each month about Re-Bath. Short, fun, memorable five-minute conversations could keep us top of mind. It all comes down to repetition: the more often they hear our message, the more likely it is to stick.
Things to remember before you PK.
- If the store is busy with customers, focus on lead generation and save PKs for slower periods.
- Do not pull associates into a PK if they are in the middle of a project or actively helping a customer.
- Some associates may ignore or decline your request for a PK. Don’t take it personally — you may not know what they are dealing with at that moment.
- When you arrive at the store, make sure management knows you are there to generate leads. Ask them to send associates to your table for a quick five-minute Re-Bath PK, where they will receive a duck or candy as an incentive.
- Every department can benefit from learning about Re-Bath. Don’t assume that associates in areas like the Pro Desk or Garden Center do not need to know about home services.
- Have fun with it! Know your script, but don’t sound robotic. Make it your own, find your rhythm, open with a joke if it fits, and keep the conversation light, engaging, and memorable.

How to initiate a pk.
Here’s the thing about PKs: most associates aren’t going to walk up and ask you for one. That means the ball is in your court. You’ve got to step out, read the room, and invite store staff into a quick conversation about Re-Bath. And how you ask makes ALL the difference.
A boring, scripted ask? Easy to brush off. But a clever, fun opener? That’s what gets someone to pause, smile, and give you five minutes of their time. So loosen up, have a little fun, and find your own flow. You should absolutely know your stuff — but knowing your script doesn’t mean sounding like a robot reading off a card. Switch it up. Crack a joke. Keep it light, keep it memorable, and let your personality do the heavy lifting.
The goal is simple: make associates want to stop and chat. The more fun you are to talk to, the more likely they’ll remember Re-Bath the next time a customer mentions their dated bathroom.
PK Initiation One-Liners.
Use these to grab an associate for a quick PK. Try a few, see what clicks for you, and don’t be afraid to put your own spin on them!
- “What can you tell me about Re-Bath?”
- “How many Re-Bath leads have you gotten so far?”
- “Can you show me how to enter a bath lead in your system?”
- “I’ll give you a rubber duck in exchange for a few minutes to teach you about Re-Bath.”
- “When was your last Re-Bath PK?”
- “Got five minutes? I’ve got a duck with your name on it.”
- “Quick quiz: name three things Re-Bath does. Winner gets candy!”
- “I promise this is the most fun you’ll have in aisle 12 today.”
- “Help me settle a bet — do you know what Re-Bath actually does?”
- “If I told you a rubber duck could change your day, would you give me five minutes?”
- “Pop quiz time! Five minutes, zero pressure, free candy. Deal?”
- “I’m on a mission to make you a Re-Bath pro. You in?”
- “Trade you five minutes for a duck and a fun fact you didn’t know this morning.”
- “Be honest — could you tell a customer where to start a bathroom remodel? Let me help with that.”
Using the PK Script.
We want the core information to stay consistent across all PKs so that, through repetition, the key facts really stick. Associates may not always remember our exact process, the specific products we use, or even our average star rating. But they should always remember the essentials: we are their bathroom remodeling partner, we offer free in-home consultations, we provide six services, we do not install off-the-shelf products, and we offer financing options.
As you practice this script and become more comfortable with the flow of information, don’t be afraid to add your own flair. Whether that’s using a joke, asking interactive questions, sharing a personal story, or role-playing customer conversations, find small ways to make delivering the PK more enjoyable. When you’re having fun with it, the person listening is more likely to enjoy it too.

Now, this might not feel like a ton of information, and that’s on purpose! We’ve kept it short and sweet to cover just the absolute basics. We know they’re busy and can’t always spend a lot of time with us, so we’ve packed the essentials into a quick, easy-to-remember format.
Your managers schedule larger Specialty Spotlight PKs at the stores. These are dedicated training events where a bigger group comes together to dive into all the details. So think of this as your quick-start guide, with plenty more in depth training waiting for associates down the road!
Adding to your PK.
As you become more familiar with your stores and team members, you may start to notice the same people regularly. As your PK skills develop, you’ll be able to include more relevant detail in your PKs for those who would benefit from it.
Don’t be afraid to go into greater depth on some of these areas as your PK skills continue to grow.
- What happens during the consultation
- The products we use
- More detail about our six services
- Aging-in-place and accessibility options
- The fact that we offer financing and work with the VA
- Our in-house service department and what it means to be a Re-Bath customer for life
- Lifetime warranties on our DuraBath and Moen fixtures
- Re-Bath’s history and how long we’ve been in business
- What sets us apart from other contracting companies
- Our national presence
- The volume of bathroom remodeling projects we complete each month
- What you personally like about Re-Bath
How to track your PKs.
After each PK, ask the associate if you can take a photo to share with their management team. You’ll then upload that photo, along with your total PK count for the day, in your end-of-day report in the Teams chat.
If an associate does not want their photo taken, do not push it. Simply say, “No problem at all. Thanks for listening today.”
We operate on an honor system when it comes to tracking PKs. However, if we begin to notice that photos are not being uploaded consistently, we’ll need to take a closer look and may switch to a different tracking method.
Arizona Team Only.
For select Home Depot stores, we offer shower door replacement as an additional seventh service option for customers. See the store list below, along with a brief training guide on shower doors.
Be sure to include this seventh service in your PK. You will also have a separate PK card specifically for shower doors that you can hand out to associates.
